Characterization of novel motif in M1 protein of influenza A virus and using NS1 deletion mutants in tumor therapy.
Grant APVV-0676-12. Duration 2012-2017. PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR RNDr. Tatiana Betáková, DrSc.; investigator RNDr.Peter Kabát, PhD.
The aim of this project was characterized the new motif in M1 protein of influenza A virus and find its function in virus replication. Study the influence of hypoxia and interferons on replication of delNS1 mutant and influenza viruses. Compare the ability of delNS1 mutants lyse the tumours in vivo.
Therapeutic potential of RNA interference and interferons against influenza virus infection.
Grant VEGA 2/0005/12.Duration 2012-2015. PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR RNDr. Tatiana Betáková, DrSc.
The main aim of this project was developing of a new strategy of inhibition of influenza virus replication. Thisstrategy was based on elimination of NS1 protein in infected cells by means RNA interference and stimulation of immune system by interferon alpha and/or interferons –lambda.
The role of cytokines/chemokines in the immune response to influenza A infection
Grant VEGA 2/0014/16.Duration 2016-2019. PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR RNDr. Tatiana Betáková, DrSc.
The main aim of this project was study innate immune response to influenza virus. The innate immune response was elicit by NS1 deletionmutants, human and avian influenza viruses. The main focus was on RIG-1/MDA5-MAVS-IRF3/7 pathway induced by IFNs.
